London 2012

Well they finally launched the London 2012 branding today, 440ks worth of branding and this is what they came up with ?!?

I’m not usually one to go round bashing other peoples work but this has got to be one of the worst looking designs I have ever seen. In fact I only have to look at it for 30 seconds before it makes me feel quite ill. Purple and Yellow !

Olympics Minister Tessa Jowell commented: “This is an iconic brand that sums up what London 2012 is all about – an inclusive, welcoming and diverse Games that involves the whole country. It takes our values to the world beyond our shores, acting both as an invitation and an inspiration. This is not just a marketing logo, but a symbol that will become familiar, instantly recognisable and associated with our Games in so many ways during the next five years.

What the bloody hell are these people on about, its quite clearly an abstract version of a bowl of rhubarb and custard.

Hurm.. I went out with a telescopic lens last week and managed to get this amazing picture of the planet Jupiter, I think. Well that’s what I imagined anyway. So this week what has happened, well I became an expert at search engine optimisation. Lots of companies advertise the fact that they can optmisify you website for you and get you more visitors, well I am going to officially set the record straight and give you my top 5 amazing theories (don’t tell anyone though these are top secret).

1. Name your images beginning with a word, or a number
2. You should always put the most important thing on your page
3. Update your content on a semi irregular daily monthly basis per day
4. If possible always include a picture of a panda
5. Be specific with your irregularities

If you follow all of those I guarantee something.

Well as usual its been too long in between post, I’ve been working on several things work related and non work related but
to freshen things up here is a picture of my latest game in development ROBOPOGO, a robot pogoing game featuring crushatron 2000.

So far the 3 games released, Blobuloids, Starling Golf and The Game called bob have done 1.2 millions plays in the past 2 months, which is quite frightening. But anyway I better get back and finish another game.
