Feels like Sunday

One of them lazy Sunday’s today, mowed the lawn cut the trees, just no energy to do anything. How come when you’ve not done anything creative for a while you lose the energy to do anything creative ? Bad rut to get into, anyway forced myself to finish off a little drawing from the sketchbook.

Drawn originally while visiting my parents on the South coast, this is Buckler Hard a yachting yard near the Solent, drawn in biro and water colour then scanned and altered slightly with graphics tablet. Kind of picture postcardy.
Anyway its hot and i’m off for a cold one.

Mystery Human Pixel Project

The mystery pixel for the Human Pixel Project, Peter Smuts now has installation photos from the first public display of the assembled pixels. They look pretty amazing and you can see then on his installations pages.

This pixel is a kind of self portrait, this was after I came out of the barbers. I must have been in and expressed a desire to look like Eraserhead (the David Lynch film if you don’t know it). For the technical this one was done with 4B normal pencil and the background is a photographic print on matte photo paper.

Moriza Robocontest

Moriza.jpg

I got this through the post last week, an a4 bit of artwork by artist Mo Riza. He’d been pretty busy and has cooked up 100 robots for his robocontest. The first person to comment on his robots on Flickr gets the robot named after them, I was lucky enough to get robot #69 who is now the “RobotJAM”, he looks kind of like a glorified coffee machine but I like him. As part of the deal I did a 3d version of one of Mo’s designs and sent that back to him as part of the exchange.
