How the World Works

A quick sketch I did last night, entitled “How the world works”

The man in the Pacman Gallery dreams of a world of 1 and 2 eyed blobuloids. The blobuloids dream of cheese.
Cheese dreams peacefully, content in the knowledge that it is cheese.

And that explains how the world works.

Possibly, also on another note I took my car to a garage and it seems now even garages are taking to making up techno jargon. The car failed its MOT and one of the failures was “the nearside valve stem is missaligned”, I was thinking my nearside valve stems, that sounds quite expensive, and then I realised that despite having done car servicing on a DIY basis for about 5 years I had never heard of a nearside valve stem.

The only valves I could think of were engine valves, which would be pricy. So I asked the mechanic what exactly it was and it turns out the hub cap was pressing on the tyre valve. The hub cap needed rotating ! Another good one was the driverside headlamp was malfunctioning on dipped beam, which meant “the bulb had gone”.

Anyway I better get back to doing something.

Influenza Bugs

Well, its been a while since I did a blog entry what with Xmas and my start to the New Year. I got a cold (man flu) last week which turned into a sinus infection and then a bad chest infection which meant I couldn’t breath properly. Fine now but the doctors put some of the mucus I coughed up on a microscope and found these guys floating round my lungs ! Seriously this is a genuine picture of a microscopic bacteria illustration.

Anyway apart from that I also renewed my household insurance over Xmas.Luckily the insurance company have added cover for damage due to a terrorist incident free of charge !! Which I am very happy about as obviously Warwick must be high on the list of locations that are prime terrorist targets.

Foggy Christmas

Quick picture of one of my flickr friends, a combination of 2d vectors, sketching 3d modelling and cell shading, all mixed up and bunged together.

Well its almost Christmas and the songs are all singing about white christmas’s so far the only white has just been fog, lots of it. It hasn’t cleared now for 2 days. I think Warwick has the worst fog of anywhere I have ever lived, when it gets foggy it just never seems to lift. The record I have seen was 5 days without clearing and it was so bad then that to drive down one country road I had to send my passenger outside to walk in front of the car as I actually couldn’t see the road. Its not quite that bad a the moment but its meant to last until monday.

Anyway having spent most of the last 6 months winding the Duke up about his conspiracy about anything electrical and mechanial breaking down at the most inconveniant times today it was a double whammy of the “C” firstly the desktop PC decides that its not going to respond to the on button. Then rather typically on the coldest day of the year so far my boiler dies, so no heating, or hot water which is rather unfortunate as I haven’t had a wash now for 2 days.

Anyway have a great Chritsmas everyone,
