My Scotland trip

Well, the blog has been a bit slow recently mainly due to workload and also a quick trip up to Scotland for some walking action. I love going away to remote places, mainly because you never know what you are going to find. The village we stayed in turned out to be basically a pub, probably the smallest village I have ever seen. Strangely though the pub was always very busy and I have absolutely no idea where all the local drinkers came from.
Noticeable odd things which happened on the trip: a) the first local in the bar turned out to be a time share saleman. b) the second local I talked tgo actually used to live 2 doors away from me in Leamington c) I tried oysters for the first time, I can safely say they were utterly revolting, tasted like salty sea snot.
Lastly the pub had a dead raccoon nailed to the wall, which was a little odd as I’m not sure that raccoons are native to Scotland, although there was some debate as to whether it was in fact a badger painted to look like a raccoon.

Never having tasted salty sea snot, I’m still undecided about oysters. But while there did you happen to find the section of cart-path or road with your name on it? You remember, the one you’ve paid for with your road taxes? Just curious.

Salty sea snot and crucified racoons - surely that’s not the way to earn the Ambassador to Scotland (you might get some Ferrero Rocher = smashing) and Scotland Tourism Guru titles…… ;P

I think I’ll pass on visiting that village.
I used to like oysters until I got really sick once after eating them. Salty sea snot is a fairly accurate description I think.

Can you not, at least, make my orange cyclops look a bit of a bimbo?
