Monkey illustration

Well its been a while since I did an update, anyway I read probably the most scary thing I have ever read in the sunday paper this week. It was a new book about climate change, if the temperature goes up 6 degrees in the next 100 year basically the only thing that survives is fungus.
This is the problem, after a 1 degree rise the polar ice caps reach the point of no return. They reflect 90% of the radiation back into space. Without them a chain of events happens, the dark oceans soak up 85 percent of all radiation and the oceans start to heat up in an expontial manner which leads to the permafrost layers in the northern hemisphere melting. This means more Co2 into the atmosphere which speeds up warming, a rise of 3 degrees means that the soil starts releasing C02 back into the atmosphere. At this stage the amazon has died and the result is basically the earth turns into a huge volcano thing.
Well I have come up with a brilliant plan. We all know we need to reduce the amount of C02 we produce, so I suggest we all hold our breath for 30 seconds a day. If we all did this it would actually save 4% of the output of total C02 produced globally.
What a brilliant plan !

Fess up, Rob. Was it YOU, or was it your MONKEY who wrote that post?
Oh, I guess it had to be the monkey. You don’t read the newspaper, do you? I know I don’t — well, except for the comics.

what a brilliant plan - I’ll start right now…..takes a deep breath, holds it, holds it, holds it…OK. Glad to do my part!
