Supermarket Televison

A few cartoon creature illustrations done last night while watching Spooks, these are pen and more Acrylic inks.
I went to Curry’s at the weekend to get a large telly as I was finding my old one was at least 4 inches too small.
After looking I decided that I didn’t want to spend an extra £600 on one which was an LCD one so I decided to get a fat screen 28 inch wide screen.
First choice TV… “sorry we haven’t got that in stock”, second choice “sorry we haven’t got that in stock”, we got down to eight choice TV when I said have you got any telly’s ? and they said ” no we don’t actually have any of these in stock, most people want the LCD ones now, we can order but it will take 3 weeks”. Ok so what exactly is the point of having 15 on display if they never actually stock any, if I wanted to wait 3 weeks for delivery i’d have ordered one online and saved myself a trip down there. Also quite weirdly I have never ever been in someones house who owns an LCD TV, I think they are making it all up.
So I went to the local supermarket, they had a choice of 1 but that one was in a box and I could just stick it on a trolly and bung it in the car, it was also 50 quid cheaper.
The moral of the story, supermarkets are dominating retail as a) they almost always have what you want in stock and b) they make it easier for you to buy than anyone else.
