A quick portrait illustration of one of my flickr friends Mr Canuck from Canada. I took him to Robot World .

Okay and I got tagged by John Earle this week… so here goes:-

They came and ate us the antipope coconut cooking for beginners Bridget Jones Learn Visual Basic 6 in 24 hours Martin Scorsese’s autobiography The Da Vinci code Clive Barkers Books of Blood Ray HarryHausens Animated life.

Sorted.

Anyway why is it that at the back of some books they have extra pages and they write “notes” at the top. Like you’d really want to start writing random thoughts when you read the end. You know, oh I’ve just finished so what shall I do, I know I’ll write a shopping list.

Courgettes, Curry Powder, Large Onions, Crisps a small bag of peas, French mustard.

Trouble

A quick sketch last night them of “trouble” for illustration friday, background is a 3d abstract model, main sketch pen pencil, ink and cutouts.

I was thinking the other day about the changes in the world taht the interent creates. One of the weirdest is now whenever we have a conversation at work about some pointless subject just off the top of my head… “whats the world record for yogurt eating” you can now solve all disputes as you just type your condundrum into Google and up pops the answer.

Thats all well and good but for most of these things you now get directed to wikipedia, the fountain of all internet knowledge. A complete encylopedia written by anyone who can be bothered full of facts on litterally everything. The problem with this is that half the stuff on their is probably a load of rubbish and made up (I know all the things I wrote were). With the power of wikipedia you can completely rewrite history and change facts and now they will become true.

And by the way Raj Desai was going for the worlds yogurt eating record last week, I have no idea if he managed it.

Pongi Action Figure

A model I have been working on for a while of one of my web friends Rob Pongi he is now fully articulated and will be available as this years top action figure !

I had one of the weirdest dreams last night ever. I went down the pub to meet my friend who is a pro golfer and I had bust my knee up (which I have really), anyway as we were drinking I noticed that his hair started getting greyer and then when I told him about my knee he said oh that’s okay as I have just qualified as a professional knee surgeon. I thought this was a rather odd coincidence as last week he had just qualified as a professional golfer.

I asked how he had managed to quailify as a “profesional knee surgeon” and he told me that he had done a late night open university course in knee surgery for the last 15 years, which was even odder as he is only 27 so would have started knee surgery at the age of 12.

This all didn’t give me much in the way of confidence in his operating skills. However I am considering doing the job myself after having performed a completely successful operation on virtual knee surgery.
