Shop Logic

A female portrait illustration of one of my flickr contacts “the countess of maybe”. Really liked her expression, hasn’t quite come out like the original but I enjoyed drawing this one.
Anyway why is it that all shops seem to have less staff at their most busy times. For instance this weekend I managed to mow up the lawn mower electricity cable, which was actually my third DIY near death experience. So I went to the DIY store to get a new cable and then when I got to the counter there was only 1 till open, which is odd as I though weekends were when most people mowed up their electric cables.
And now I have just realised that this blog posting is utterly tedious.

Oooh! Good eyes! I like this one.
As to the mowing up of the mower cable, was THAT the near-death experience, or was it going to the DIY store? Regardless, you’re right about the staffing level being low when the store is busiest. But when they are NOT busy, and the staff is plentiful, said staff is often too occupied chatting with each other to help the lonesome custome anyway. You can’t win.

Pickles? Flapjacks? Huh?
Based on your mower experience, I would say the “C” is hanging round your place. It did visit me recently too - I spent $650 on car repairs and 2 days later wrecked the car.
This was probably your fault somehow, as you posted this the day before my accident. Hmmmm…
