Phobia

Haven’t done an illustration Friday for a while so here is “Phobia” this weeks topic, in pencil and digital.

My own personal phobia is Consecotaleophobia which is the fear of chopsticks well actually not really. I mean not my phobia but that is actually the fear of chopsticks. What I want to know is why are all phobias ending with obia except for vertigo ?

Why is vertigo special ? Also why is it that every TV show has to have celebrities on these days. Watch celebrities cook, dance, horse ride and do nothing then you pay extra and vote them off. What is it with cooking on TV ? People seem to love watching people cook food from scratch before they head off to the chippy.

Also what is the fear of bad TV ?

Crunchy Nuts

Been rushed the past week doing er … um… something so here’s a quick businessman illustration , this is “Mr crunchy”, I was eating crunchy nut cornflakes while drawing him.

I was wondering the other day while looking in my food cupboard, half the stuff in the cupboard is “new and improved”, or “new great taste”, every time I buy a cola brand it is “great new taste”. Its amazing that every week they have time to invent a completely new tasting thing which is also better than the last one. I just don’t know where they find the time. Also if I like the taste of something how do they know that when they change it I will like it more ? There must be some sort of mind control going on.

maybe.jpg

A female portrait illustration of one of my flickr contacts “the countess of maybe”. Really liked her expression, hasn’t quite come out like the original but I enjoyed drawing this one.

Anyway why is it that all shops seem to have less staff at their most busy times. For instance this weekend I managed to mow up the lawn mower electricity cable, which was actually my third DIY near death experience. So I went to the DIY store to get a new cable and then when I got to the counter there was only 1 till open, which is odd as I though weekends were when most people mowed up their electric cables.

And now I have just realised that this blog posting is utterly tedious.
