This door appeared in the middle of my housing estate in Warwick about 3 weeks ago. It was something like the monolith from 2001, nobody exactly knew why it was there or what it was doing. Then I was walking round Warwick town centre and spotted 2 more, although these had the doors open. After a bit of digging it turns out that this is a church project to create the worlds largest advent calendar.

I think this was a brilliant idea, firstly as it gets your attention just by the fact that it is so odd when you first see one. Also it actually makes you think about what Christmas is really about. I personally think the idea and the execution of this is better than any so called modern art installation. I’m also really curious about was is behind door 19 and will be getting pictures today.
