My version of the infamous “aftershave” scene from Home Alone. With a large hint of Edvard Munch.

I came across this highly interesting site yesterday, WinOSI. WinOSI is a free 3d renderer by Michael Granz, the results look pretty excellent but it does have very slow rendering times. The most interesting part of the site though is a comparison between all the different commercial and freeware renderers that use Global illumination. All the well known ones are there, Vray, Lightwave, Pov ray, Kray, Cinema 4d. He didn’t have a Mental Ray version so I cooked him one up (see above). The difference between results is staggering in both image quality and rendering times.

By far my favourite Flash animated series is the little ninja. It has been going for quite a while now, probably a couple of years. The latest offering is simply awesome, amazing visuals and really moody. Definitely worth checking out.
